The Parrot Inn was built around 1890 and was originally owned by Phoenix Inns.

In it's early years it used to be a stopping off point and watering hole for the lightermen on their way to London loaded with munitions and powder from the factory here in Shalford. In more recent times, the Parrot has undergone many facelifts and changes and has become a place for our guests to come and relax and enjoy good food, good wine, a friendly atmosphere and smiling faces and a peaceful nights rest.

We serve food 7 days a week and we try and cater for just about every taste. Well behaved children are welcome during our lunchtimes and up to 8.00pm in the evenings.

David and Tricia own and operate the Parrot Inn and have been in Shalford since 1991.
